A lot of people believe that the most important thing is to make a contract with a racquet and clothing company and get a lot of money out of this, but those contracts are a result of the players work and what the players have already achieved.
To manage a player is about advising the player in all business-related questions
Starting from making the tax calculations for each country where you need to make your own tax declarations, which is mainly UK, USA, France and Canada. Further to advice the player on how they manage their image in their everyday life’s, on social medias and how to present oneself.
Look at a player like Roger Federer who is so far making more or less everything right in his career and is perfectly managed. He has people who help him how to dress and how he should go to the hairdresser.
In that way managing a professional Tennis Player is about managing the overall appearance and the financial and business part of their job outside playing tennis.
