That’s always been my value.

Whatever I do I want to make life decisions.

The way I see it, everything we do in life is to give ourselves the best possible quality of life.

Nothing is right or wrong.

The world works great, in contrast, but a lot of people make decision based on quality of life to be. I always wanted to make it what’s going to be the best possible quality of life right here, right now?

So, when I won Wimbledon in doubles, my life was absolutely great, and I had no desire to change that at all. For me it wasn’t really a decision to change from singles to doubles. It was kind of forced upon me as a decision because people kept asking. If I were to make that decision, it would only be depending on success. As soon as there would be a little bit of bad times in my life, I would resent myself for making a decision that went against my gut feeling.

The human Frederik and the tennis player Frederik are correlated, and one can’t work without the other.

If you’re a happier person, you can enjoy the successes much more.

I believe that if you’re chasing results and you’re compromising your quality of life for it, then those results are not going to be enough for you to change your quality of life. You’re going to feel a little bit of ecstasy and happiness in your life, but once that subsides, then you’re back to your old life and the quality of your life is going to be the same. So, I also think it’s going to make you appreciate the wins much more than if you have a life that makes you unhappy.
