When Coaches learn, they should always try to learn in detail, but when they teach, they should always try to teach in simplicity.
As a natural consequence of the immense amount of information available it’s fairly easy to become a Tennis Expert, but being a Tennis Expert doesn’t mean that you are necessarily a Great Tennis Coach.
Transforming all of the knowledge into concreate actionable advice tailor suited for each individual player is for me the difference between Tennis Experts & Great Tennis Coaches.
In attempt to decrease the gap between the two I ask myself:
1) What is the 1 main focus that the players practice in this drill?
2) How can I explain this in 30 seconds or less?
3) What analogy will help the players explore & learn by themselves?
