Tennis players don’t really differ in how much they want to win. But they differ drastically in the price they are willing to pay to win.

Oftentimes I have been talking to young ambitious Tennis Players who tell me about all their dreams of being No. 1 in the world & winning Slams, but when I then ask them the very simple question from the headline “What price are you willing to pay?” a lot of players back out.

I have absolutely no intention of shutting down any dreams, but I do think that we as Tennis Coaches have an obligation to help the players understand what it means & what kind of work that lies ahead of simply giving yourself an opportunity to become a professional Tennis Player.
